LéierLabs for children and adolescents
Innovative workshops to encourage children and young people
to take initiative in protecting the environment
MiNELL offers a series of scientific ‘Nature and Environment LéierLabs’ for children and young people aged 6 to 19. The objective is to promote participants’ autonomy and initiative in finding solutions for environmental protection and sustainable development. Through interactive workshops of varying duration, children and young people are encouraged to explore, experiment, and actively engage with current environmental issues.
The workshops cover various topics such as biodiversity and nature conservation, industrial history and its environmental impacts, decarbonization and renewable energy, urban warming and local solutions, among others.
By adopting a participatory approach in finding solutions for these themes, these workshops aim to develop young people’s critical thinking and provide them with the necessary tools to become agents of change.
The MiNELL approach
The MiNELL project adopts an interactive and interdisciplinary pedagogical approach, promoting active participation of children and young people, collaborating with experts from various fields, such as natural sciences, art, and participatory approaches.
