Mission Zéro Carbone: Working session in Ellergronn

Last Friday, 26 April, a multi-disciplinary group made up of technicians from the municipalities, climate advisors and representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning met in Ellergronn to continue working on the concrete implementation of the “Mission Zéro Carbone”.

The group of around 30 participants was divided into two separate working groups to work on implementing the Minett UNESCO Biosphere’s decarbonisation strategy. The meeting of the municipal representatives focused on the mission and role of the technical committee, the action plan for this year and next, the formation of specific working groups and raising awareness among the population.

The action plan for 2024 and 2025 was also presented to the working group of climate advisors. The indicators needed for regional monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions and how to collect these data were a further topic of discussion.

The results of the two working sessions will now be forwarded to the political representatives of the PRO-SUD board for implementation in consultation with the municipalities and the various ministries involved in the “Mission Zéro Carbone”.
