Due to the exceptional weather conditions this summer, some orchards have not produced any fruit!

 

However, a visit to one of the public orchards of the Minett UNESCO Biosphere will allow you to discover:

 

The nourishing role of the orchard, as a place for healthy and local food production.

 

The role an orchard plays in supporting biodiversity, as an orchard is an ideal habitat for many animals and helps preserve old fruit varieties.

 

The climatic role of an orchard, which acts as an oasis of freshness, contributes to carbon capture, improves air and soil quality, and enhances the urban environment.

 

The social and cultural role of the orchard as a natural space for breathing, meeting and coming together.
