On Monday, a delegation of about 80 students from the Réserve de biospère Moselle Sud visited Rümelingen. The two school classes from Rümelingen, who are active in our Aire Terrestre Educative, showed their French classmates what has been created in the ATE so far and then got creative together with their peers.

They made land art and even a sundial in the arboretum “An Aenzelen”. After all the creative work, the children were rewarded with a pancake before the French delegation travelled home.

The Aire Terrestre Educative project will continue next week. The next step will be to work with a local artist to develop new signage to replace the arboretum’s old signs, some of which are barely legible.
