On Tuesday 25 March, the Education for Sustainable Development Fair took place again in the Forum of the Geessenknäpchen campus.

From the morning until late afternoon, stakeholders in environmental education came together to present themselves and their activities. As in previous years, Minett UNESCO Biosphere had its own stand, which attracted many teachers and students from all over the country.

We used this fair to present our biosphere reserve and the Minett Natur an Ëmwelt LéierLab (MiNELL). We were able to show visitors the concrete and long-term educational activities of the UNESCO Minett Biosphere Reserve’s environmental education programme and how our learning laboratory teaches children and young people about biodiversity, its threats and its protection. The aim of this project is to raise awareness and motivate future generations to protect our nature and environment.

As every year, the Minister of Education, Claude Meisch, and the Minister of the Environment, Serge Wilmes, visited the fair. We were able to present our environmental education concept to the two government representatives. A concept that was very well received by both politicians.
