Become a volunteer for the European Capital of Culture Esch2022
Since 1985, the European Union has designated a “European Capital of Culture” each year. The aim of the European Capitals of Culture is to highlight the diversity of European culture, to promote encounters and to transmit the values of Europe.
In 2022, together with the 10 PRO-SUD-municipalities and the 8 French municipalities of the Communauté de Communes du Pays Haut Val de l’Alzette (CCPHVA), Esch-sur-Alzette, the 2nd largest city in Luxembourg, will be European Capital of Culture.

The Programming of Esch2022 is composed of:
∙ major cultural events and exhibitions,
∙ tourism and historical activations throughout the region,
∙ workshops and unique immersive experiences,
∙ an exceptional launch event.
Esch2022 is a participatory cultural project where everyone is invited to make their own contribution.
What does it mean to a REMIXER for Esch2022?
Being a REMIXER means committing to be a volunteer and thus becoming an ambassador for a large-scale project by participating in events. It gives you a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes. REMIXers have a unique opportunity to become part of the REMIX Community and to participate in the future of our region.
Anyone aged 18 or over can participate.

∙ Information point and guides
∙ Artists / entertainers / performers
∙ Backstage work and artist care
∙ And more…
