In order to promote cycling as a means of daily transport, even for longer distances, ProVelo invites you, as part of the European Mobility Week and in collaboration with VELO Diddeleng, to cycle from Dudelange-Burange train station to Place Guillaume in the centre of Luxembourg City.
Take the opportunity and join us on Tuesday 19 September to cycle to work together. Show how important cycling is in your daily life!
You can, of course, join us from any point along the route to the point of your choice.
- 6.35 am Departure at the Dudelange-Burange railway station
- 7.00 am Stop at the church in Bettembourg
- 7.45 am Stop at the Stade de Luxembourg (Bd. de Kockelscheuer side)
- 8.15 am Arrival at Place Guillaume (City of Luxembourg)
In the coming days, other starting points along the route may be announced on www.provelo.lu at the request of participants. At the finish, the City of Luxembourg will provide a snack for the participants.
Other events in the Minett UNESCO Biosphere
As part of European Mobility Week, from 16 to 22 September, other events are being organised in the municipalities of the biosphere reserve.
The municipality of Bettembourg, in collaboration with the municipality of Roeser, is organising a second-hand bicycle market, which is already taking place on Saturday 16 September. BMX world champion Viki Gómez will be the guest star at Dudelange’s Mobility Day, also on Saturday. On Sunday 17 September, the town of Esch-sur-Alzette will be holding its soft mobility day, and on Sunday 24 September there will be a bike ride with members of the town council.
The Commune de Pétange’s mobility day will take place this Saturday at the Centre Culturel de Rodange, and next Tuesday the Minett UNESCO Biosphere, in collaboration with IMS Luxembourg, the Ville d’Esch-sur-Alzette and the Commune de Sanem, invites you to the “Cycling in Belval” workshop.
