Here is the programme of the Biodiversity Days organised by the Minette UNESCO Biosphere and its partners from 3 to 6 June at the Nature and Forest Centre Ellergronn:

03.06.2021 – Business Day

Organisation of a guided tour for companies with scientific experts on the following themes: entomology, botany, ornithology.  The aim is to raise companies’ awareness of the unsuspected biodiversity of the biosphere reserve. It is also an opportunity to show live the scientific methods used for identification. The guided tour is organised upon registration. All places have been reserved.

04.06.2021 – Kids Day

Pupils from 11 different classes will have the opportunity to discover the UNESCO Biosphere via an educational tour with specific workshops organised by scientists from ANF, MNHN, LIST and SICONA.

05.06.2021 – Science Day

Organisation of a BioBlitz: scientists will carry out an intensive inventory over a short period of time to identify and list the species of living organisms present at Ellergronn. The citizen of the Minett UNESCO Biosphere or the visitor can participate in the inventory of the biodiversity in his or her community via the smartphone application iNaturalist.

06.06.2021 – Family Day

Organisation of the Nature Day. Come and take part in a one-hour workshop, walk through a natural site of great biological interest, ask questions to naturalists and discover fascinating disciplines. Meeting point between 10:00 and 17:30. Workshop times: 10:00; 11:30; 14:00; 15:30

Due to health measures in connection with the Covid-19 pandemic, prior registration is required for participation in the workshops, limited to a maximum of 10 people. Details of the workshops and registration details will be published here on Tuesday morning.
