Local products that are easy to access and close to home: through the “Minett Liewensmëttelpunkt” pilot project, the Minett UNESCO Biosphere – managed by the Syndicat PRO-SUD – and the City of Differdange aim to explore a new way of bringing producers and residents of Luxembourg’s only Biosphere Reserve closer together.

The concept
An automated retail point for local products, accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, inspired by an initiative already developed in Warken in the Nordstad. The aim is to make regional products easier to access while offering producers an additional sales outlet.
To bring this project to life, the Minett UNESCO Biosphere, managed by the PRO-SUD syndicate, and the City of Differdange are launching a call for expressions of interest to identify an operator capable of supplying and managing the future retail point on a daily basis.
Farmers, producers, cooperatives, groups or associations with the necessary experience may express their interest. Particular consideration will be given to organisations based in southern Luxembourg.
