On January 18th the new pedagogical project “Aire terrestre éducative”, which will last for one year, started in the arboretum in Rumelange . A class of third graders and a class of fifth graders will form a student council that will discover this area, they will be trained on the grounds and can decide themselves what will have to change in the arboretum.

During this first excursion, they pupils discovered together with the forest ranger Daniel Sannipoli the land and its history. The former dump site was developed at the end of the nineties to plant an arboretum with different tree species.
