Purchases related to activities and events organised by associations (equipment, food, communication, etc.) have significant environmental and social impacts. This workshop will help you develop your practices towards more sustainable solutions suited to your circumstances.

Objectives

• Understand what responsible purchasing means in the context of event management and its impacts • Identify more responsible alternatives • Find practical, workable solutions

Programme

Working in groups, you will identify your current purchasing practices and their impacts (resources, waste, transport, production conditions, etc.), as well as the constraints you encounter when making purchases.

Together, we will look for simple, practical solutions that could be implemented to reduce these impacts, such as: choosing responsible suppliers, reducing single-use items, reuse and the circular economy, sharing equipment and joint purchasing between associations.
