Did you know that a fruit tree can yield up to 500 kilos of fruit? Unfortunately, every year a significant amount of fruit rots on and under fruit trees because it is not harvested. To prevent this food waste, the Ministry of Agriculture and SYVICOL have joined forces and launched the “Yellow Ribbon/Gielt Band” initiative.

The Minett UNESCO Biosphere is also in the process of creating a map of freely accessible fruit trees on the territory of the 11 PRO-SUD municipalities.
