Official presentation at the ‘naturmusée’

In the presence of the Minister of Spatial Planning, Claude Turmes, Romain Becker, PRO-SUD board member, Simone Beck, President of the Luxembourgish Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO, Patrick Michaely, Director of the National Museum of Natural History, Roland Kayser, publisher of the Éditions Phi, and the two authors Davide S. Sapienza and Robert Weis, the official presentation of the first geopoetic travelogue of the Minett UNESCO Biosphere took place on Thursday evening.

In addition to the official acknowledgements, the two authors, who also read from their book, answered questions about the genesis of the first geopoetic walking diary about the Minett UNESCO Biosphere.

Reading in Esch

On Friday, a reading with the two authors was organised in the Librairie Diderich in Esch. After reading selected excerpts from their work in English and French, the Italian writer, Davide Sapienza, and the Luxemburgish scientist, Robert Weis, answered questions from the audience present.

Geopoetic walk in Rumelange

For the closing of the official presentation of the book, the Minett UNESCO Biosphere and the Musée National des Mines de Fer in Rumelange organised a geopoetic walk on the traces of “Rocklines – A geopoetic journey across the Minett UNESCO Biosphere”.

Together with Davide Sapienza and Robert Weis, the participants walked a distance of about 5 kilometres through the core zone “Léiffrächen” of the Minett UNESCO Biosphere. In addition to the impressions provided by nature, the two authors read excerpts from their geopoetic travelogues and gave explanations on the geological history of the Minett.
