As part of our environmental education programme MiNELL, the Minett Natur an Ëmwelt LéierLab, the Minett Biosphere, which has been recognised as a UNESCO biosphere reserve since 2020, and the Ellergronn Nature Conservation Centre invite you to take part in an activity about the future of our forests.
Our environment is changing. Weather extremes are becoming more frequent, temperatures are rising and there are longer periods of drought. This is affecting our biodiversity and, in particular, our forests. Traditional tree species in the forests of Minette are struggling with the new weather conditions.
At our event ‘Den Zukunftsbësch’ on 3 May 2025 at 10:00 in Ellergronn, measures to protect and preserve the forests and sustainable tree species will be discussed. On a two-hour hike through the forests of Ellergronn, you will learn more about tree species that are threatened with extinction and tree species that can be used to preserve the forest ecosystem in the future.
