2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣ in the Minett Biosphere

For five years now, our region, as the Minett UNESCO Biosphere, has been part of the prestigious UNESCO network “Man and the Biosphere” (MAB). The celebration of this anniversary, which took place on October 28 in Lasauvage, was marked by the presence of Claude Meisch, Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning. It was a moment to look back on the first five years of the Minett as a UNESCO biosphere reserve, a time filled with pride and gratitude. It was also an opportunity to look to the future and anticipate the challenges and projects awaiting the 11 municipalities in the southwest of Luxembourg in the coming years.

Our annual review, presented here, highlights the work achieved by the Minett Biosphere team in four key areas.

As part of our regional development strategy, we focus on creating a sustainable and balanced territory, which is an essential pillar of our approach. Secondly, international cooperation, which promotes the exchange of knowledge and partnerships beyond borders. In addition, we support local production and also concentrate on the preservation of biodiversity, two major priorities for the sustainable development of our territory. Furthermore, enhancing the image of the region is a key element of our missions. Our goal is to promote the distinctive identity of Minett, an objective we have prioritized this year with a new season of our traveling podcast.
