Biodiversity Days – Programme of the Nature Day

On Sunday, 6 June, a variety of workshops will be held at the Ellergronn Nature and Forest Centre. Come and take part in a one-hour workshop, walk through a natural site of great biological interest, ask questions to naturalists and discover fascinating disciplines. Meeting point: 10:00 – 17:30. Workshop times: 10:00; 11:30; 14:00; 15:30

Due to health measures in connection with the Covid-19 pandemic, prior registration is required for participation in the workshops, which are limited to 10 people and a maximum of two workshops can be booked.

DIY: Meng Quell doheem
The artist Hisae Ikenaga builds with you a decorative rainwater collector to use on your balconies, terraces and in your gardens.
Minimum age recommended: 8 years

Science & Art
Graphic artist Isabelle Mattern takes you on a journey of discovery of natural textures through prints of plants and other organic materials.
Minimum recommended age: 8 years

Kanengerchers- a Mierschwäincheführerschäin
The animal keepers of the Escher Déierepark organise a workshop for children to learn how to take care of rabbits and guinea pigs.
Minimum age recommended: 5 years

Eating Map
Through a mapping project, tastings and testimonies, the Bonneterie in partnership with ESCH2022 invites you to discover the secret of the plants around us.
Minimum age recommended: 5 years

De Mini-Goart
The “Escher Geméisguart” offers a workshop to create your own miniature garden that you can set up on a small balcony or even on a windowsill.

Biodiversity in the forest
Touch, explore and understand the plants and animals of the forest. This is the objective of the workshop offered by the collaborators of the National Museum of Natural History.

Photographic traps and biodiversity
In this workshop the LIST presents different methods of observing Luxembourg’s fauna with the help of camera traps.
Minimum recommended age: 6 years

Children will have a woodcarving lesson and will carve their own art object to take away. Workshop organised by the ANF.

Barefoot in the forest
Discover the forest floor in bare feet through a short walk, proposed by the ANF, which will make you feel and discover the forest in a different and playful way.

Apicool proposes a workshop that revolves around bees, their role in the preservation of biodiversity, their daily contribution to our lives and the threats to which bees are exposed.
