Isabelle Mattern is a young and talented graphic designer from Esch who returned to Luxembourg after her studies in Paris and London. She has succeeded in getting herself noticed in Luxembourg over the last few years.
Isabelle Mattern was hired by the UNESCO Biosphere to create the poster for this year’s “Biodiversity Days” at the Ellergronn Nature and Forest Centre.
Isabelle decided to use the printing technique of risography. This is a Japanese technique that only allows you to work with two colours, meaning that you already need a well-structured approach to the process of creating a poster.
The other reasons that led the designer to create the Biodiversity Days poster with risographic printing are revealed in this video, filmed while the posters being printed.
The full programme of the “Biodiversity Days” from 3 to 6 June 2021 will be revealed next Tuesday. From then on, registration for the workshops on Family Day (Sunday, 6 June) will also be possible.
