Searching a volunteer

 

 

PRO-SUD, the regional syndicate for the promotion and development of the south, which manages the Minett UNESCO Biosphere, is looking for a volunteer to coordinate its second youth forum to be organised in July 2023 in Esch-sur-Alzette.

In 2020, the 11 municipalities of the southern region became a biosphere reserve recognised by UNESCO. The biosphere reserve promotes the conservation of natural and industrial heritage, research and environmental education.

The volunteer will be supervised by a team of professionals and will have an office in an idyllic setting in the middle of nature and close to the city centre of Esch.

Tasks of the volunteer:

• In collaboration with the team, organise preparatory meetings, logistics and the content of the forum.
• Participate in local and regional events to promote the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
• Participate in the organisation of environmental education workshops for schools and the general public.
• Developing specific editorial content for social networks.
• Development of a series of interviews to promote the biosphere reserve to young people.

 

Profile sought:

A person with an interest in the environment, digital communication and event organisation.

Language skills required: English and 1 of the 3 official languages of the country (FR, DE or LU).
