Acting on the need for shared resilience

In July 2022, Georges Mischo was elected president of PRO-SUD. The current president wishes to continue and deepen the existing projects of the syndicate of municipalities, such as the coordination of the Minett UNESCO Biosphere, and to emphasize cross-border collaboration, in particular in the field of mobility and by securing the achievements of Esch2022, European Capital of Culture on a cross-border territory.

 

Within the framework of the Minett UNESCO Biosphere Territorial Vision carried out with the Ministry of Spatial Planning and the municipalities, the project to decarbonise the southern region by 2050 led to the declaration of intent for a zero-carbon region, which was signed at the twentieth anniversary ceremony of the syndicate of municipalities on 21 April.

“This is a great prospect for our structure, whose main mission from the outset has been to support a regional development project,” says Georges Mischo excitedly.
