“Grouss Botz” in the South

The start of the big forest cleaning campaigns was already made last weekend by the municipality of Monnerich, where two rubbish collection walks were organised throughout the municipality. The first one started at the Centre Culturel in Bergem, the second one at the village square in Mondercange.

“Grouss Botz” this weekend in Käerjeng and Esch

This Saturday, two municipalities invite you to their collection campaigns in the forests: Käerjeng and Esch-Alzette.

In the municipality of Käerjeng, the walks will start at three different locations. The meeting point for the inhabitants from Linger, Hautcharage and Bascharage is at the “Dribbel”. The participants from Clemecy will meet at the Clemency football field and those from Fingig will gather in front of the festival hall.

The collection tours will start at 9:00 am. Registration in advance was necessary and could be made until 10 March.

The City of Esch will also welcome its volunteers on Saturday, 18 March from 8:30 a.m. in front of the municipal administration on the town hall square. After coffee and a croissant, the participants will then set off in groups of 9 to clean the woods around Esch from the rubbish of the past months. After the collection walks, the city will provide a hot meal for the volunteers, who will include the RTL reporter and Environment Minister Joëlle Welfring.

To participate, registration in advance is also mandatory. The deadline for registration is Friday 17 March.

Starting Monday: cleaning tours in Differdange

Between 20 March and 9 April, volunteers are welcome to clean the woods and fields around Differdange from the dirt and rubbish. There is no central event here, you just have to register with the municipality, which will then provide you with the necessary material (rubbish bags). At the end of the cleaning campaign, all participants will be rewarded with a small gift from the municipality of Differdange.

You can register your cleaning crew by filling in this form.

4 municipalities mobilise on the 25th of March

Four municipalities of the Minett UNESCO Biosphere will mobilise on 25 March: Bettembourg, Rumelange, Sanem and Schifflange.

In the municipality of Bettembourg, two walks will be organised. One with start and finish at Bettembourg Castle and one that starts in front of the school of Huncherange. Both clean-up tours start at 10:00 am.

In Rumelange, the “grouss Botz” already starts at 9:00 am. The rendezvous is on the market square and everyone is invited to participate in this event. Additional information can be requested here.

The event in Schifflange starts at 9:15 am. Departing from the Hall Polyvalent in the “rue Denis Netgen”, participants will go out into nature to collect the rubbish. After the collection, the municipality will reward everyone with a warm lunch. To join the event, you have to register by 17 March.

4 simultaneous collection activities will be organised on 25 March at 10:00 a.m. in the municipality of Sanem, one in each village. In Belvaux, the action will start from the car park at the cemetery, in Ehlerange in front of the Kulturschapp, in Sanem starting point is the sports hall and in Soleuvre the meeting point is the Place de l’Indépendance. As a thank you, a warm soup will be served in the Matgesfeld after the cleanings. Registration is possible until 20 March.
