Monday 8th of May the Minett UNESCO Biosphere was invited to participate to the “Diversity Day” at the International School of Differdange. In collaboration with the physics and sustainable development department of the Scienteens Lab (uni.lu), we conducted workshops with 87 students to reflect on our energy consumption. On average, a Luxembourg resident uses twice as much energy as a European resident.

Dr Louis Kreiger worked with the young people using an interactive game; a scale where they placed on one side the elements of their daily life requiring energy (housing , lifestyle, etc) and on the other the photovoltaic energy necessary to satisfy their household’s consumption.

Of course, the solution to make a difference is to consume less!
