Stammdësch of Thil
Performance of the texts written during the residency of the authors' collective "Le Geuloir" in Thil
Date(s)
As part of the ATRACT-AB project, "Le Geuloir" invited authors Jeff Schinker and Serge Basso de March, as well as author Laure Roldàn, to meet the residents of Thil, an isolated village in the heart of the Communauté de Communes Pays Haut Val d’Alzette.
Gathered around a shared table, their "Stammdësch," they became regulars at these meetings, which facilitated the collection of personal stories and life reflections.
There, at Café Le Penalty in Thil, three texts were eventually born. These three stories define this spontaneous publication—a collection of impressions and perspectives by the authors on a place, its residents, and their past, present, and future.
Created during their stay in Thil and inspired by the voices and experiences of the location, this performance presents three texts written within the span of a month, immersed in the energy of the place and informed by an intense engagement with the vibrant daily life of the region.
Director Jean Boillot, together with performers, will bring these texts to life on stage at Café Le Penalty in Thil.
